Arts in April – The Internal Monologue: Gordon Huether’s Creative Exploration and Expression
Lecture and gallery tour included with the price of a Single Vineyard Tasting ($30)
Guests of St. Supery are welcome to enjoy a Single Vineyard tasting, lecture, and gallery tour led by Artist Gordon Huether. Gordon will talk about his continuous creative exploration and his internal expression through his fine art. An internal monologue is the semi-constant discussion one has with one self. Huether will share his internal monologue and how his fine art comes to be.
Huether learned art composition and appreciation at an early age from his father. In the course of his initial artistic explorations, Huether was resolved to create a lasting impact on the world around him through the creation of large-scale works of art. He took a deliberate step towards this goal in 1987 when Huether founded his studio in Napa, California.
Projects have included art installations for private corporations, airports, transportation centers, parking garages, hotels, universities, hospitals, recreation centers, civic buildings, libraries, and museums. He is proud to have been awarded 70 public art awards and more than 160 private commissions nationwide and abroad.
His experience in the realm of large-scale artwork generated the enthusiasm to create fine art pieces with very personal content. While his core skills are in glass design, Huether also has extensive experience in working with many other media including steel, repurposing salvaged materials, resins and composite materials.Date and Time
