LOCATION:The 5th Annual Herring Celebration\, hosted by the Bay Model in Sausalito\, will feature two screenings of "Blue Serengeti"\, live music and a herring inspired lunch by some of Sausalito's finest restaurateurs. Tickets are $40 for the Film and Herring Plate Lunch. Beverages are $5. Supporters have a choice of two screenings for "Blue Serengeti": Ticket #A 11:00am Screening + 1:00p Herring Lunch (Doors open at 10:30) Ticket #B 1:00p Herring Lunch + 2:30 Screening (Doors open at 1:00) "Blue Serengeti" is a documentary that tracks the largest migration on earth under the waters of our coast. With breakthrough camera and tracking technology\, Dr. Barbara Block helps reveal one of the sharkiest places on earth and the rich eco system that supports them. She calls this first-hand portrait of a formerly unseen domain\, "Blue Serengeti". The event will also include a brief presentation on the SCBC at Cass Gidley Marina project\, live music\, and delicious herring dishes presented by Sausalito restaurants. As always\, should our silvery little friends not arrive to our local waters on time (they love to keep us in suspense)\, local chefs will provide equally delectable bites.
