DESCRIPTION:In this special program\, San Francisco-based filmmaker Dominic Angerame will use the surreal experimental film "Sausalito" (1948) by Frank Stauffacher as a jumping off point for his own film explorations of urban landscapes. Stauffacher's "Sausalito" is a surreal 11-minute excursion through Sausalito as it appeared in the late 1940s. Angerame will discuss Stauffacher's influence on his own work and that of other experimental filmmakers\, followed by a screening of his short films "Premonition" (1995) and "Revelations" (2018).
